Compton High School Alumni Association 2026 Board of Directors Reaffirms Mission During Ceremonial Luncheon
COMPTON, Calif. (July 22, 2026) — On July 18, 2026, the Compton High School Alumni Association (CHSAA) Board of Directors held its Appreciation and Installation Luncheon at the Black Angus Restaurant in Lakewood, California.
Alumni, family members, scholarship awardees and distinguished guests gathered to celebrate the Association’s continued commitment to its motto, “Reaching Back to Move Forward.” The afternoon’s highlight was an inspiring keynote address by Compton High School Principal Dr. Larry Natividad, who challenged CHSAA board members to continue serving as ambassadors for Compton High School and to strengthen the partnership among alumni, students and the community. “The Alumni Association plays an invaluable role in preserving our rich history while helping create opportunities for future generations of Tarbabes,” said Dr. Natividad.

CHSAA board member Jessica Carson was formally installed, and each board member rededicated their service to CHSAA by repeating the oath administered by CHSAA board member Judge Kelvin D. Filer. CHSAA awarded certificates of appreciation to Dr. Natividad, the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees and Anthony Ransfer, Compton High School’s band director. In addition, CHSAA President Deborah Spottsville presented certificates to each board member in recognition of their
contributions to the Association’s mission.
Established in October 2006, the Compton High School Alumni Association remains committed to fostering lifelong connections among alumni while supporting educational excellence for current and future Compton High School students.
