City of Compton and City Ventures Celebrate Opening of the Concord Court Townhomes

Compton, CA –The City of Compton, in partnership with City Ventures, proudly celebrated the grand opening of Concord Court, a new 60-unit townhome development located at 930 W. Compton Boulevard. Local leaders, community members, and future homeowners gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate this significant milestone in the city’s efforts to expand homeownership and create vibrant, livable neighborhoods.

The 2.45-acre Concord Residential project transforms a previously vacant lot into a thriving community. The development features a mix of three- and four-bedroom homes, designed with sustainable features, as well as private streets, sidewalks, parking areas, and new landscaping. Constance Graham, the Sales Manager for City Ventures, is doing an excellent job of identifying potential buyers and collaborating with the City of Compton to ensure the project runs smoothly.

Compton City Councilman Johnathan Bowers represents District 3, where Concord Court is located. Bowers stated, “We know that for many families, finding affordable housing is not easy. That is why this project is so important. It helps long-time residents stay rooted in the city they love, while also welcoming new families to grow and thrive in our community. These homes represent more than just a shelter; they represent peace of mind, stability, and a foundation for families to build their futures. I want every resident to know that Compton is a city where you can dream big and live with dignity. Concord Court is a step in that direction; it won’t be the last. We extend our deepest thanks to all our partners, developers, community advocates, and city leaders who believed in this project and worked to bring it to life. Compton is moving forward, and this is just the beginning.”

“This development shows what’s possible when we invest in housing, in partnerships, and most importantly, in our residents,” said Compton Mayor Emma Sharif. “Every home here represents a new beginning and a stronger future. Compton is a city of opportunity, and today is one more step toward a more connected, more livable community for all.”
The event marked not just the opening of new homes, but the beginning of new chapters for dozens of Compton families. Concord Court stands as a model for sustainable growth in Southern California, offering energy-efficient, for-sale housing designed to meet the needs of working families and first-time buyers.

“At City Ventures, we believe in Building It Forward—creating communities that not only provide beautiful, sustainable homes but also uplift the neighborhoods they’re part of,” said Ryan Aeh, Executive Vice President & Managing Director of City Ventures. “It’s incredibly exciting to welcome new homeowners to Compton and be part of the city’s vibrant future. This is more than just a ribbon cutting—it’s the beginning of new stories, new dreams, and a stronger community.”
